PRESS RELEASE DSV Road AB ("DSV") builds a state-of-the-art transport and logistics terminal in Landskrona All Swedish locations will be combined in Scania In three years, DSV Road AB (one of the Swedish companies of the DSV Group) will combine all its activities in Scania at a newly built transport and logistics terminal in Landskrona. The relocation comprises all Road terminals and offices as well as headquarter functions for all three divisions: Road, Air & Sea and Solutions. To accommodate the nearly 700 employees and the huge quantities of freight, the first stage is to build a facility of approx. 74,000 square metres, of which approx. 20,000 square metres are warehousing facilities, approx. 30,000 square metres are for a distribution terminal and approx. 18,000 square metres are for offices. The site covers 400,000 square metres. Why Landskrona? Henrik Holm, CEO of DSV Road AB, gives the following reason for choosing Landskrona as the location of the transport and logistics terminal, which is scheduled for inauguration in 2011: "The DSV facilities in Helsingborg and Malmö are the cornerstones of our services to and from Central and Western Europe involving more than 500 vehicles every day. To improve our efficiency from a financial and environmental viewpoint, we need to combine our facilities. The analyses that we have carried out revealed that the Landskrona area was the optimum solution when taking into account infrastructure and the geographical location. The local authority of Landskrona suggested a solution which fully satisfies our needs. This solution comprises an ambition of offering attractive housing in Landskrona for the employees interested and an already existing efficient public transport system. Naturally, the location of the plot relative to the motorway exit was a crucial factor in view of our ambition to reduce the environmental impact of our activities." "The fact that we are seeing the largest new corporate relocation to Landskrona in recent time makes me happy and proud. This company will give us around 700 jobs, thereby compensating for more than one third of all jobs lost in Landskrona since the 1990s. Moreover, DSV will generate a number of other positive effects," says Torkild Strandberg, Chairman of the Local Government.
