DSV in Czech Republic has signed an agreement on the acquisition of certain activities from AWT Čechofracht a.s.
AWT Čechofracht a.s. has a strong market position in the Czech Republic offering several forwarding and logistics services. The agreement includes the road, air and sea freight activities and contract logistics of AWT Čechofracht and will as such strengthen the market position of all three DSV divisions in the Czech Republic.
In the last 12 months, the activities acquired from AWT Čechofracht a.s. has generated revenue of approximately EUR 30 million.
"AWT Čechofracht a.s. is an important player with strong traditions in the Czech market. The activities acquired match the current DSV activities in the Czech Republic well and will furthermore create a complete local distribution network" says Group CEO Jens Bjorn Andersen.
The transaction will have effect from 27 September 2012. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
